We are thrilled to announce that AlterInvest has decided to support the cultural flagship project of Spring 2024: Gustav Mahler’s 8th Symphony. This monumental composition, also known as the Symphony of a Thousand, will be performed three times at the Helsinki Music Centre in May.

Mahler’s 8th Symphony is one of the largest-scale and most renowned masterpieces in classical music.

The Spring 2024 project is not only a unique musical event but also an integral part of a broader initiative to support, inspire, and mentor young musicians.

Under the guidance of conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste, the LEAD! Orchestra Project represents an international endeavor where young musicians are provided with the opportunity to cultivate their leadership and teamwork skills as orchestral performers, under the mentorship of renowned professionals that have performed with the best orchestras in the world, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. An international group of young aspiring musicians will be performing in the concerts.

Additionally, we would like to express our gratitude to Jerome Bouix, who, along with Jukka-Pekka, conceived the idea for this project several years ago. Furthermore, a group of families and foundations passionate about classical music and dedicated to supporting talented youth have provided support for the project.
